Assadaqaat Community Finance (ACF) are a not-for-profit organisation based in Wales. Their aim is to address social and financial exclusion, financial inequality and eradicate poverty. They provide interest-free finance with the goal of empowering individuals to cultivate economic opportunities for strong and inclusive growth. ACF plan to have on of the largest global networks offering financial support and advice to start small and medium enterprises to hundreds of individuals each year.

Case studyACF Women Entrepreneurship Programme
Objective

The objective of our work with Assadaqaat Community Finance (ACF) is to deliver exposure to their Women Entrepreneurship Programme, helping to inspire women to become key drivers of economic growth and agents for change in Wales and beyond.

The inequality in the number of women beginning their own businesses is huge and ACF are trying to tackle that head on through this scheme. The scheme helps to empower women with the ability to start and run their own MSMEs (micro, small and medium sized enterprises) so that they can become financially inclusive and build their incomes as a result.

Mechanics

Our campaign focused on informing women, especially those of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds, of the free courses available to them through ACF, delivered through Zoom. We informed these audiences by creating strong content and copy highlighting the key benefits of the programme.

We then took this content and pushed it through advertising on ACF’s Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram. This helped to build awareness for the programme in targeted areas.

Once attendees were at the event we encouraged them to share their experience through word of mouth and provide ACF with feedback on the event through questionnaires. This allows ACF to deliver an improved service and growth their own brand.

Following the events we have utilised telemarketing and email marketing to encourage previous attendees and people who had registered to attend the event.

Outcome

Our relationship with ACF is on-going and we feel like there is many more great results to come. However, in the short time since we have been involved with the team at ACF we have seen cohort numbers increase steadily. From the first cohort in February 2021 to the latest fourth cohort in May 2021 we have seen increasing numbers of attendees at each cohort. We have also seen increase interest in the scheme and hope for much more as we continue to support ACF.
