Everyone Doing It Together 2025

About the event

DEI had slipped down the priority list. Budgets were cut, roles were lost, and multicultural marketing was underfunded. But lived experiences hadn’t disappeared… nor had our commitment to change.

That’s why our annual flagship event, Everyone Doing It Together, returned for its fourth year on the morning of Thursday 16th October 2025 at The Trampery, Shoreditch, London.

This wasn’t just another standard industry event. It was a space for senior marketers and comms professionals who knew that inclusion wasn’t a nice-to-have, it was essential. Attendees experienced bold ideas, honest conversations, and practical steps forward.

The agenda

Panel 1: The current state of DEI in marcomms

Hosted by Tomasz, this panel gets real about where things stand in the UK right now. From budget cuts to performative pledges, we explore how DEI is being deprioritised across the industry — and what that means for the work we do and the communities we serve.

Sam Salama, Senior Insight Manager at The Metropolitan Police, and Edna Boampong, Director of Communications & Engagement at Liverpool City Council will join the conversation, bringing unique perspectives from within major public institutions.

Panel 2: Young, diverse, and overlooked: the power of inclusive youth marketing

Youth audiences are diverse by default – so why are inclusive youth campaigns still the exception, not the norm? Hosted by Martin, this panel brings together guest speakers, including India Hill, Senior Marketing & Communications Manager at Football Beyond Borders, alongside Jamilah Simpson, Marketing Partnerships Manager at The Diana Award.

Together, they explore how brands and organisations can better engage Gen Z and Gen Alpha through truly inclusive strategies – sharing what’s working, what’s missing, and how we can do better.

Panel 3: Getting it right (or at least trying to): starting without fear

Hosted by Martin, with guest speaker Kate Dale, Marketing Director, Sport England - This Girl Can, and Megan Elliott, Brand Manager at Marshmallow. We unpack how fear (of getting it wrong or being called out) holds organisations back from doing meaningful work and offer practical ways to start imperfectly but with purpose.
