How Employers Can Approach BAME Recruitment

In the United Kingdom there are over 9.1 million individuals from ethnic minorities. This includes people who have immigrated to the UK and children of immigrants. This move to another country or growing up with parents who moved to better their lives is often a driving force in the success of people from BAME communities, so why won’t many companies help them in progressing in their careers?

In this booklet, we have put together ways in which employers can adjust and respond to BAME recruitment as well as supporting their current employees from these groups. We hope that it will help you in re-evaluating your approach to BAME recruitment and ensure that you make individuals feel welcome and that they are just as deserving as any other candidates. We have also touched on how you can better support your current BAME employees. If you would like to discuss this further with us, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
